Issued from the imperial mint in Constantinople, this coin is not only a beautiful example of early 7th-century craftsmanship, but also a powerful symbol of dynastic unity and religious authority.

Depicts the crowned and draped facing busts of Heraclius (left) and Heraclius Constantine (right), both adorned with detailed imperial regalia. A cross above their heads reinforces the Christian nature of the empire and its rulers.

Inscription: dd NN HERACLIUS ET HERA CONST PP AVG — “Our Lords Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine, Perpetual Emperors.”
